* onderduiken... | * duck and cover...
Januari is achter de rug ( zo schrap die maar van je lijstje, ha!) en ik ga februari ontvluchten in mijn atelier, wat een feest! Voor de komende maand ben ik ondergedoken! 19 maart is de voorproef van de nieuwe collectie gepland op de Invasie van Kortrijk! Komt dat zien!
De uiteindelijke volledige presentatie van de nieuwe collectie is in voorbereiding maar daar later natuurlijk meer over
De bestaande collectie zal overigens vanaf 19 februari 'en grand' gepresenteerd worden in een nieuwe winkel in Amsterdam op de Haarlemmerstraat; Sukha. Vanaf 19 februari geopend maar 4 maart officiele opening! Ik mocht in deze winkel mijn eigen presentatie verzorgen en kreeg een enorme plek toebedeeld echt geweldig. Dank aan Irene Mertens!

As I scratch january of my to do list I prepare myself to duck and cover in my workshop all during february, now the festive things start coming back. First presentation of a new collection is scheduled for 'Invasie van Kortrijk' 19th of march. Naturally you are all very welcome to come and see!
Also the current collection will be presented in a new shop in Amsterdam; Sukha on Haarlemmerstraat. This shop will be opening 19th of february with the official and festive opening planned on the 4th of march. I was able to design my own presentation and was given a huge place to present my jewelry.. truly fantastic Thank you Irene Mertens!

* niet leuker wel makkelijker.. * Not more fun but maybe easier...
Voor iedereen die het dwaze idee heeft een eigen bedrijf te beginnen als goed voornemen voor 2011... een kleine realistische noot.
Januari is niet een maand waar het gros van de mensen goed in gedijt maar onder het mom van 'leuker kunnen we het niet maken..' is dit het uitgekozen moment om de omzetsbelasting-aangifte van heel het jaar te verlangen, vindt de belastingdienst.
Elke keer neem ik me voor een heel fijn praktisch opruim mapje te verzinnen waar als bij toverslag al die bonnen op de goede volgorde verschijnen zonder dat ik daar veel of enige moeite voor moet doen.. Dit stukje Harry Potter-esque kantoormagie heb ik tot op de dag vandaag nog niet bereikt maar van deze muziek wordt ik wel heel rustig en op de kabbelende klanken ben je opeens als bij de bonnetjes van eind november! ha!

January as a general rule is not the happiest of months, tax-authorities take this truth to the next level. In January the declaration of the whole year must be filled out and posted before the end of this cold, rainy, couch potato- month.
Every time I solemnly swear I will develop some sort of Harry Potter organiser that magically puts all my receipts in order without me having to put in the tiniest bit of effort. However I am sad to my office-magic is not that developed ( or not existing..). Yet while doing my taxes I listened to this group I just stumbled upon and what do yo know I just finished november!

* de nieuwe speelplaats - * new playground deluxe
Hoewel mijn afkeer tegen verhuizen zeker niet minder is geworden ( ooh zo veel dank aan Gregoire!!!) is het resultaat zo dat ik het ook alweer bijna vergeten ben.... mijn nieuwe atelier!
Al de indrukwekkend zware machines staan geinstalleerd mijn nieuwe kruk is aangekomen en een nieuwe brander... het is bijna te prachtig-fantastisch om waar te zijn! Net op tijd ook want er moet hard gewerkt worden aan een nieuwe collectie.... zin in!
Even though I still hate the whole moving thing ( thank you so much my dear Gregoire!!!) the results are such that I (almost) forgot about the moving part.... my new workshop!
All impressively heavy machines are installed, my new stool arrived and a new burner... it is almost to fantastic to be true! Just in time I might add for a new collection is to be made... looking forward to that!

Wat een prachtig jaar was 2010! Ik kan alleen maar hopen dat 2011 net zo wordt...
Beginnend met een nieuw atelier in Rotterdam!
Vanaf 24 januari kunt u ook op afspraak op atelierbezoek komen. Op maandag, dinsdag, donderdag en vrijdag.

allez....hop!
Zo dat is dat!
Meesterlijk en Sieraad 2010 afgerond en ik vond het nog leuk ook! Heel fijn alle reacties! en ik heb er ook nog een nieuwe hobby bij: ruilen. Zo ben ik heel blij met mijn aanwinst van Sally Collins en Hartog en Henneman.
Maar in alle eerlijkheid nu heb ik wel weer zin mijn atelier in te duiken....nieuwe dingen maken!
Een aantal andere evenementen staan ook alweer op stapel. Last minute is er een kleine expositie georganiseerd door Justine Schmidt. Aanstaande dinsdag van 10 tot 22 uur met vele leuke mensen en nog meer leuke spullen. Bij deze van harte uitgenodigd en neem vooral iemand mee. { zie afbeelding voor meer info}
Verder verheug ik me ook enorm op het einde van het jaar en dan specifiek het knallende einde; mijn eigenste beste winkeltje voor 9 dagen op de Aalmarkt in Leiden; Miss Rosy View. 15 t/m 24 december. Meer info volgt en is te vinden op facebook. Ik heb allemaal fijne plannetjes voor het winkeltje maar ook voor kleine collecties bij Miss Rosy View.

Both fairs; Meesterljk and Sieraad 2010 are finished now and I actually miss it a bit! It really is great having so many people looking and reacting to your work. And I even managed to find a new hobby; swapping! Very happy with my treasures from hartog en henneman and Sally Collins.
But to be honest I am looking forward to get back in my workshop and make some new stuff..!
Also new events are about to start very soon.. I entered last minute in a small exposition organised by Justine Schmidt next tuesday 16th of november from 10 till 22h. You are hereby very kindly invited and do not hesitate to take a friend. { more info on the picture above}
But I am really looking forward to the end of this year; My very ow shop for 9 days in Leiden at the Aalmarkt; Miss Rosy View! 15 till 24 of december. More info can be found on facebook but I will keep you posted. I got all sorts of ideas for the shop but also for some limited editions!
